Over the last 15
years Will Faimatea has been involved in numerous high profile
builds and refits. During this time he has focused entirely
on the Electronics Systems on Super Yachts. He not only has
extensive shipyard experience but has crewed as Electronics
officer for 7 years on various large yachts.
Following his most recent and successful build, Ecstasea, in
which he was responsible for the owners supply systems - AV
/ IT / Nav – Comms / Security and Alarm and monitoring
systems, Will Faimatea is now leading Bond TM’s project
team including 9 full time engineers, on a 150m+ build which
is set to achieve new standards in “high end” concepts. |

Will Faimatea started work with
Honeywell aerospace and defence as an Electronics Engineer
where he spent five years dealing with communications systems
for Australia’s defence forces. There he moved into the
merchant marine area where he designed Australia’s first
approved EPIRB test facility and then taught GMDSS (Global
Marine Distress Safety System) to mariners. He has spent the
last 15 years in the Superyacht industry dealing with all facets
(commercial and technical) of electronic systems on new builds
and refits for yachts. In his field of marine electronics systems
has led some of the yacht industry’s most high profile
yacht builds and founded Bond Technical Management in 2006. |
